Demand response pays you, as an OmniMetrix Partner, for having your customers available to curtail their energy loads when called upon by the grid operator. Temporarily switching supply of their energy needs to the generator instead of the grid.

CPower’s Demand Response solutions, enabled by OmniMetrix’s wireless remote generator monitors, will automatically shift the power load to enrolled customers’ standby generators during peak demand hours, when the grid is stressed and energy prices are high, without any action on the part of the generator owner. In addition to the peace of mind standby generators provide by ensuring reliable power during extreme weather events, consumers are now able to be compensated for allowing their standby power generators to ease peak electrical demand through demand response.
The partnership also serves as a catalyst for dealers to offer new standby generators on significantly more favorable terms to energy users; these customers will get paid for their demand response participation and the energy their generator contributes for shifting their load.
TRUEGUARD 2
Our residential power generator monitor, the TrueGuard 2, offers simple, reliable, cost-effective monitoring compatible with any home power generator.
Most monitors can be installed by your service technician in less than 60 minutes, and all monitors come with pre-engineered cables and installation instructions. Our US-based OmniMetrix team will also support your technician should you need any additional assistance before, during, or after installation.
Once your unit is active, all programming and updates are completed over the air at no additional cost; there’s no local software to install. Both your monitor data and updates are transmitted over cellular networks, so you’ll never have to hard wire your unit for transmission.

FAQs About The Demand Response Program
How much money do I get back from participating in this program?
This solely depends on how much power your customers are historically using. If you average 15kW of usage on a normal basis, we will credit you for that amount.
Can any generator participate in this program?
No, there are specific types of generators that have the technology and reportability to participate in the DRP program. CPower needs the ability to turn the generator on when grid operators need the power, record how much power each home uses, and restore power back to the grid when the power usage is reduced.
What is the difference between a standby generator and a demand response generator?
A typical standby generator can only be used in the event of a grid failure. A demand response generator can be used for demand response and during grid failures.
What is my cost to participate?
DRP is a monthly fee that covers everything you need including the standby power. You will have no other charges for maintenance, monitoring, warranty or repair*.
*See manufacture warranty documents for exclusions.
Will your customer’s see an interruption of power when switched to generator power?
No, when your customers participate in DRP you never lose the connection to the utility feed. The transfer to generator power is seamless with no loss of power to the business or home.
